Privacy Policy

SEODojo ("we," "us") provides keyword research, content writing, verification, and publishing tools at seodojo.app. This page explains what information we collect when you use SEODojo, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information. Your email address, and either a Google account identifier (if you sign in with Google) or a hashed password (if you sign in with a password — we never store the password itself, only a one-way cryptographic hash of it).
• Content you create. Keywords you research, drafts you write or generate, and articles you queue or publish, along with their analysis results (competitor pages, scores, originality checks).
• Publishing destination credentials. If you connect a destination (WordPress, Ghost, Webflow, Shopify, Wix, GitHub, or Notion), we store the access token or API key needed to publish there, encrypted at rest. We use it only to publish articles you explicitly approve — never to read, modify, or delete anything else in that account.
• Billing information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your card details directly — we never see or store your full card number. We keep your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
• Usage data. Basic technical data needed to operate the service, such as IP address and timestamps for rate-limiting and abuse prevention.

Third-party services we use

To do its job, SEODojo sends parts of your content to the following providers. Each processes that data under its own privacy terms:

• AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, and others) — to generate and score article drafts, and to check whether AI assistants cite your brand.
• DataForSEO and Scrapio — to fetch search-engine results and competitor page content for keyword analysis.
• Stripe — to process payments and manage subscriptions.
• PostHog (US) — product analytics: which pages and features are used, and session recordings of how the site and dashboard are used, with everything you type hidden. When you're signed in, these are linked to your email address, workspace and plan so we can improve the product. We don't sell this data or use it for advertising.
• Google — for Google sign-in, and, if you connect them, Search Console and Business Profile data.
• Cloudflare — hosts the application and its database, and stores images you upload.
• Your connected publishing destinations — WordPress, Ghost, Webflow, Shopify, Wix, GitHub, and/or Notion, each only for the articles you choose to publish there.

How we use your information

• To provide the service: research, writing, scoring, auditing, tracking, and publishing.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To bill you for paid plans.
• To respond to support requests.
• To detect and prevent abuse of the service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content to train AI models.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you disconnect a publishing destination, we delete its stored credentials immediately. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us below.

Security

Publishing destination credentials and API keys are encrypted at rest. Passwords are never stored in plain text. Access to your workspace is scoped to your account (and any team members you invite) and protected by session cookies and, where applicable, database-level access controls.

Your choices

• Disconnect any publishing destination at any time from the Publish page.
• Revoke or rotate your API keys at any time from the Publish page.
• Request a copy or deletion of your data by contacting us.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
