Being named by an AI assistant is only half of it. The other half is what it says about you. If ChatGPT tells someone your app costs $49 a month when it's $19, or that you have a feature you don't, you've lost that customer even though you "won" the mention.
This happens a lot. Engines build answers from whatever pages they find, and third-party pages go out of date. A review written two years ago still quotes the price from two years ago.
What Brand accuracy checks
Open Brand accuracy under AI Visibility. The check reads the latest answers that name your brand (from your tracked prompts and manual checks, last 30 days) and compares every specific claim about you (prices, plans, features, integrations) with your own homepage and your about, pricing and features pages.
Each claim comes back in one of two groups:
- Wrong. Your site says something different. Usually an old price or a plan you've renamed.
- Not on your site. The engine states a fact your pages don't. It might even be true, but if your site doesn't say it, the engine got it from somewhere else, and you don't control that page.
One thing to understand before you trust the results: it checks answers against your site, not against the truth. If your pricing page is out of date, every correct answer will look "wrong". Fix your own pages first.
Where we are with ieltsbandlift.com
We can't run it yet. Here's what the page says for us:

That's the honest result of lesson 7.1. With 0 of 34 answers naming ieltsbandlift.com, there's nothing to check. You'll probably be in the same spot if you're just starting out, so here's the useful thing to do while you wait.
Make your own pages the easiest source to quote
When engines do start naming you, you want the facts they repeat to come from you. That means your site has to state them plainly, in text, where a crawler can read them.
Our site crawl (lesson 5.2) flagged ieltsbandlift.com's pricing page as thin: 104 words. The prices are there: Focused at $19 a month, Serious at $39, and speaking sessions sold separately from $4.99. But 104 words of plan cards gives an engine very little to work with. Here's what we'd add, and what you should check on your own pricing page:
- One plain sentence per plan, written the way someone would repeat it: "Focused costs $19 a month and includes 30 scored Writing submissions." Engines quote sentences far more reliably than they read pricing tables.
- What's free, said outright: "You get 2 scored Writing submissions free, with full Reading and Listening practice, no card needed." Free tiers get mentioned in "best free X" answers, and that's a common question.
- A short FAQ with the questions people actually ask: is speaking included, do credits expire (they don't), Academic or General Training (both).
- The features in words, not just screenshots. "Scores all four skills against the official band descriptors" is a sentence an engine can lift. A screenshot of a score card isn't.
Tip: Write the facts in the same words as your brand card (lesson 1.4). SEODojo's article writer only claims what the brand card says, and the engines will meet the same wording on your pricing page, your articles and anywhere you're listed.
When you can run it
Once your tracked prompts start returning answers that name you, come back and click Check accuracy. Free includes 1 check a month, Pro 20 and Scale 60. Each one reads up to four of your pages, so run it after you've changed your pricing or features, not every day.
When something comes back Wrong, find the source. Lesson 7.2's Sources page shows which pages each answer used. Then either ask that site to update (they usually will, since nobody wants a wrong price on their page) or make your own page clearer, or both.
Done when
- Your pricing page states every plan, price and limit in plain sentences, not only in cards
- What's free is said outright, in one sentence
- A short FAQ answers the questions people ask about your product
- Your brand card's one-line offer matches how your site describes you
- You know to run Brand accuracy as soon as an engine names you
